2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM INFORMATION SHEET

 

CAST continues to monitor all recommendations set forth by the CDC, the State of Connecticut and the Town of Manchester with regard to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This Information Sheet is subject to modification based on changes in governing guidelines and recommendations. 

Please check our website for any current COVID updates. 

 

CAST COVID-19 policies:

We are holding in person programs for ages 5-18; however, we will remain flexible acknowledging the current environment we are working in and, at a minimum, following recommendations set forth by the CDC, the State of Connecticut, the Town of Manchester and the hosting venue with regard to COVID-19 for any programs that will be held in person. Any student or staff member not feeling well should stay home.


Facility:

Cleaning and sanitizing of the facility will follow recommended guidelines. 

The CAST office area and lobby will be restricted to the public, and will only be available by appointment.
 

Masks/Face Coverings and Social Distancing:

Students and Staff will be required to follow instructions provided by CAST Inc. in regards to masking and social distancing including, but not limited to, masking indoors while singing.

Drop Off / Pick-Up Procedures:

Procedures may be adjusted to adhere to guidelines as necessary depending on the hosting venue, including, but not limited to, washing hands or using hand sanitizer upon arrival.

 

In the event a student is not feeling well they will be isolated from the group and immediate pick up will be required

Informed Consent Forms:

All CAST families will be required to sign an “Informed Consent Form” on the risks of COVID-19 prior to sending their child/children to CAST. The consent form will be part of the registration form required prior to starting the program and will be posted on our website.

The wording on the registration form will be: By signing this 2022-2023 PROGRAM INFORMATION SHEET, I agree to abide by the necessary measures as outlined above. I agree to disclose to CAST any known COVID-19 exposure or required quarantine measures. Failure to complete and sign this form will prevent access to CAST programming and the facility.

 

It is our goal to keep all students and staff safe and healthy. We will continue to re-evaluate our COVID policies with the CDC, the State of Connecticut, the Town of Manchester and the hosting venue.  

 

COVID-19 ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK DISCLAIMER

Be advised that CAST, INC.(CAST) d.b.a. CAST children’s theatre is following state, local and municipal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. CAST has taken enhanced health and safety measures in accordance with recommended guidelines. All families and children must follow published instructions while participating in CAST programs, events and while on the CAST premises.

 

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is a contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death in adults and children. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. This includes children who are health-compromised or with underlying medical conditions.   


By visiting the CAST premises or participating in CAST programs and events, you (on behalf of yourself and your child/children), voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. CAST program and event participants, family members, and all involved with (or on) CAST premises will assume all risk with regard to their exposure to the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

**Please note: Given the unpredictability of the variants, we will continue to consult with and follow the guidance of the CDC, the state of Connecticut and local health officials. We will all need to be flexible and understand that as we continue to work in the best interest of our CAST community, there will likely be changes and updates.
